Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a mid-career Software Engineer with a minimum of four years of hands-on experience (or a master’s degree in CS or a related field with two years experience) who’s ready to take the next step in their career. In this role, you’ll contribute to the development of high-quality, real-time embedded software that powers some of the most advanced electronic platforms in the defense industry. As an integrated team member of the Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions Group (CEMA) in Hudson, NH, you’ll witness our exciting growth and work alongside experienced engineers across software, systems, hardware, and test disciplines giving you exposure to the full software development lifecycle. What You’ll Do

• Work in a Linux based environment integrating complex embedded software with high performance embedded target hardware (x86-64 CPUs and GPUs) in a closed area.
• Collaborate with the software team and hardware engineers to diagnose, debug, and test the systems under development.
• Develop and run automated tests of the integrated system, with focus on zero-defects.
• Mentor new team members, to include instructing on installation, lab support, and management of software products used in a leveraged program environment.
• Create test and design documentation in accordance with established processes.
• Analyze, design, and code (typically in C) complex software designs for simple systems or subsystems or subsystems of larger systems.
• Evaluate complex software designs to identify design flaws.
• Participate in external project interactions with other companies.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
• Experience in object-oriented software development in C
• Experience with low level Linux Performance enhancement, to include virtual/physical networking at extreme data rates, using tools such as numactl, system-cgtop, perf, iperf.
• Understanding of tools and processes used to debug and evaluate Linux kernel and network stack protocols to include such topics as DPDK, BRE tools, SR-IOV, RDMA, Shared Memory, routing, network tools, Multis
• Experience with Kubernetes (K3S), containerization and orchestration
• Experience with Kubernetes cluster architecture design, provisioning and administration.
• Python, BASH and/or other scripting experience
• Experience in legacy C software development, modern C/C++, Python, Bash, Starlank, CMake, YAML, TOML
• Experience with Hardware integration, to include low level interface to external RF receivers
• Experience with software and systems engineering processes, methodologies and tools
• Experience performing and leading software testing, validation and verification activities
• Experience with source code control tools

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
