Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) has technology, engineering, and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. BAE Systems F22/F35 program is looking for a Quality Engineer I that will be an individual contributor within the QAVMI QAE team. Primary focus is directly associated with product build assembly, inspection, and test verification. The job scope of the Quality Engineer includes but is not limited to demonstrated working experience and knowledge of:

  • Manufacturing environments
  • Process sheet route cards
  • Manufacturing instructions
  • Product inspection acceptance documentation
  • Hands on support to the quality inspection staff
  • Support to program/project personnel
  • Understanding of defense electronics manufacturing
  • Quality and workmanship requirements
  • IPC 610 certification
  • Non-conforming material control
  • Process improvement perspective
  • First article inspection (FAI) AS9102
  • Conduct effective audits
  • Effective communication
  • Understand and react to program requirements flow down

Required education, experience, and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 0 years of experience or an associate’s degree and 2 years of experience or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance
  • Strong and demonstrated communication skills (written, verbal, visual) and interpersonal skills (listening and communicating within a group/team environment)
  • Demonstrated teamwork contribution
  • Attention to detail
  • Produce high quality work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Ability to work independently and with little or no direct oversight

Preferred education, experience, and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Active secret clearance
  • Lean Six Sigma analysis and tools experience
  • Industry experience in defense electronics manufacturing of complex electronic sub-assemblies, LRUs, and complete systems
  • Experience with the quality management systems AS9100 or ISO9001
  • Familiarity with: TIPQA/Paperless, Oracle, PDM

Pay information:

Full-time salary range: $63653 - $108210. Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
