Food Service Worker

The New Hampshire Veterans Home has a full-time, 1st shift vacancy for a Food Service Worker. Proposed schedule includes: 5:30am - 2:00pm shifts Rotating weekends (additional $2.00/hour)

Summary: To assist in serving and preparing nutritionally balanced meals according to a prescribed menu plan and established safety standard.

Your experience counts. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Completion of an eighth grade education or its equivalent. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience: Six months experience as a waiter, waitress, dining room attendant or food service worker.

License/Certification: None required.

Special Requirements: Must possess clean personal health and sanitation habits.

Recommended Work Traits: Knowledge of the techniques required in serving large numbers of persons. Knowledge of dining room cleaning procedures. Ability to supervise other personnel.
