The State of New Hampshire, Department of Transportation, Bureau of Human Resources, has multiple seasonal vacancies for Engineering Aide positions within the following Bureaus: Bridge Design, Bridge Maintenance, Construction, Finance, Commissioner's Office, Highway Design, Highway Maintenance, Traffic, Turnpikes, Materials and Research, Federal Compliance and Transportation Systems Management and Operations.
Summary: Performs routine and non-technical work in the field, office, or laboratory in connection with the investigation, location, design, construction, maintenance and operation of engineering projects; does related work as required.
Your Experience Counts: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
Minimum Qualifications: Education/Experience: Graduation from high school, G.E.D. or its equivalent. License/Certification: Valid drivers license and access to transportation for use in statewide travel. Other Requirements: The applicants Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet the minimum standards established by the hiring agency.
Preferred Qualifications: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. Preferred fields of study: Engineering Environmental Science / Natural Resources GIS Business, Finance, or Public Administration Human Resources / Organizational Development Communications or Marketing
