DevOps Engineer- OCI Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), CI/CD automation, and modern DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining automated pipelines, integrating cloud-native technologies, and enabling scalable, reliable delivery processes. This role requires hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub, automation scripting, and OCI-based deployments.

In this role, you will:

• Cloud & DevOps Engineering
• Design, implement, and manage DevOps solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub to support continuous integration, automated testing, and continuous deployment.
• Implement DevOps best practices, including IaC, environment standardization, and automated provisioning.
• Automation & Scripting
• Develop automation scripts using Shell, Python, or other scripting languages to streamline operational tasks and improve engineering productivity.
• Automate build, deployment, monitoring, and alerting processes to reduce manual intervention.
• Pipeline & Version Control Management
• Configure and optimize Jenkins pipelines, GitHub workflows, and integration processes.
• Manage source code repositories, branching strategies, and secure access controls.
• OCI Platform Expertise
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications running on OCI compute, networking, storage, and related services.
• Implement OCI resource configurations, identity and security policies, and performance optimization.
• Operational Support & Reliability
• Support release management, environment stability, and continuous delivery improvements.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and pipeline issues, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with development and cloud teams to optimize application performance and reliability.

What you'll need to succeed (required skills):

• Strong hands-on experience in OCI cloud services and deployments.
• Expertise in Jenkins, GitHub, and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Good knowledge of automation scripting (Shell, Python, or similar).
• Experience with containerization, DevOps tools, and modern cloud practices.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and environment configuration.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $114,000 to $130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
