Join the dynamic Global Technology organization at New Balance as a Principal Analytics Engineer, where you'll drive innovation and excellence by transforming data into actionable business insights. In this pivotal role, you'll architect scalable data solutions, lead analytics initiatives, and empower data-driven decision-making across the enterprise. You'll serve as a strategic bridge between data engineering and analytics, ensuring the delivery of high-quality insights and data products that generate measurable business impact.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable and accurate data models that align with strategic business objectives.
  • Implement and maintain data pipelines and dimensional models using best practices.
  • Ensure data integrity and performance across cloud platforms and data warehouses.
  • Ensure data quality through validation, monitoring, and robust documentation practices.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-impact analytical solutions.
  • Lead the development and lifecycle management of data products, ensuring they meet stakeholder needs and align with strategic objectives.
  • Embed continuous improvement processes in your product solution designs, ways of working, ensuring durable products are created that provide long-term value.
  • Apply software engineering principles including version control, CI/CD, and documentation.
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data and analytics.
  • Lead through complex challenges with professionalism, agility, and adaptability.

Requirements For Success:

  • Master's degree preferred in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar roles.
  • Expert level proficiency in SQL with deep understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data architecture principles. Hands-on experience with Python.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (particularly Snowflake) and modern data stack tools like dbt, Airflow and visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Unwavering commitment to data quality, confidentiality, and stakeholder trust.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated professionalism with a strong work ethic and collaborative mindset.
  • Experience with Data Products in Agile environments.
