AECOM has a thriving, multidisciplinary Water Resources Engineering team in Colorado and we are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to remotely join the growing team in our Denver office. AECOM's Global Water Team is involved in high-profile, industry leading infrastructure projects in the US and overseas, including a variety of significant projects for local and national governments, water authorities, and many other clients. We work on projects through all stages from feasibility through design, construction, operation, maintenance, and asset management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Structural Department with the layout and design of hydraulic structures, water and wastewater treatment facilities, and other related structures.
  • Performs work, which may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
  • Independently prepare engineering related calculations.
  • Review work prepared by other engineers within the department.
  • Develop structural technical specifications, plans, and details.
  • Verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards/ practices.
  • Coordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed.
  • Perform condition assessments and site visits as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS and 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineering (PE) License
  • Master's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • CAD, REVIT Skills
  • Knowledge of computer analysis and design software such as SAP 2000, RISA 3D, STAAD.Pro, SAFE and (or equivalent)

Additional Information:

  • Relocation is not available for this role.
  • Sponsorship is available for this role.
  • Occasional site travel is required for this position (<25%). Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $75,000.00 - $95,000.00.
