Service Administrator

Serves as first point of contact with customer to promote quality customer service and assist with increasing business within the branch location. We are looking for a talented Service Administrator to join our Distribution Business in Elko, NV. Working Schedule: 100% Onsite; Standard day shift hours, with flexibility required for on-call rotation. You will make an impact in the following ways:

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers, either on the phone or at the branch, promoting quality customer service

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with key customers

• Assess customer needs and gather pertinent information to create basic work orders in appropriate systems

• Provide status updates to customers, as requested

• Capture and document customer, equipment, and technical information accurately in service management systems

• Translate customer complaints into troubleshooting plans and validate resolution

• Utilize electronic service tools and other resources to diagnose and resolve issues

• Escalate technical issues when required, ensuring timely and accurate resolution

• Analyze warranty eligibility, document claims accurately, and communicate results to stakeholders

• Support compliance with internal and customer-specific policies and regulations

In order to be successful in this role, you will need the following:

• Strong customer focus and communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate across teams

• Experience with service documentation, electronic diagnostic tools, or troubleshooting procedures

• Ability to handle conflict and instill trust with customers and internal teams

• Understanding of financial and administrative processes for service transactions

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Prior experience in service administration or industrial/mining market support preferred

An experienced understanding of goods and service transactions with large organizations and dealing with multiple stakeholders throughout repair events is required. This position supports a workforce outside of normal working hours, which requires being assigned to an on-call rotation. Experience with customer correspondence, written and verbal. This position requires supporting a team to compliance on not just Internal Cummins specific transactional/administrative policies but additionally to the customer's policies/regulations. Direct experience in industrial/mining market service administration is preferred but applicable experience will be considered.

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
