Senior Process Engineer

The Senior Process Engineer is focused on the development, support, improvement, and deployment of Braze and Heat Treat processes. In this role, the Engineer will develop new fixtures, tools, and programs used to Braze or Heat Treat turbine components. They will support training, troubleshooting, and improving existing processes. Working with the Chromalloy Engineering team, the Engineer will support development of new parts and repairs, production and rate readiness, and implementation of new technologies and methods.

Minimum/Preferred Requirements:

• BS Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, or Metallurgical)
• 5+ years of experience in the Aerospace or Industrial gas turbine engine mechanical design discipline
• 3D CAD modeling (Siemens NX software preferred)
• Knowledge of various measuring techniques including CMM, white-light/laser scanning, and gages, and their use in developing designs
• Knowledge of fixturing and tooling design
• Interpretation of engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications
• Thoughtful and effective communications skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of program management tools and skill set

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of gas turbine component manufacturing processes
• Understanding of all aspects of airfoil manufacturing (casting, machining, etc.) and inspections
• Knowledge of FAA guidelines for PMA and RS-DER requirements and compliance testing
