Maintenance Technician Ii

As a Maintenance Technician Ii, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment such as conveyors.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Perform battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries.
• Enter downtime data in daily log and complete PM sheets.
• Manage work orders within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Apply electrical knowledge of basic components to troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment.
• Track and store the department's inventory, including spare parts.

Essential Skills:

• 2+ years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls.
• 2+ years of experience with blueprint and electrical schematic interpretation.
• 2+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
• 1+ year of experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment systems.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience from distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial industries.
• Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions of building operations.
• Experience with a CMMS.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
• Willingness to learn and grow.
• Experience with MHE safety standards.
• Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college in the mechanical or electrical field.
• 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the mechanical or electrical field.
• Experience with PLC-based control systems.
• Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.

Work Environment:

You will work in a large distribution facility equipped with high-speed automation and mostly robotic components. Be prepared to walk 10,000 steps per day and lift up to 49 lbs. Performance is tracked by data and numbers to ensure expectations are met. Candidates must be open to working any 10-hour shift as positions are available for all shifts.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract position based out of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $30.50 - $30.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
