Network Engineer

Monitor network performance to ensure system availability and reliability. Configure and install various network devices (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Wireless, and Load-Balancers). Provide 2nd Tier Support for troubleshooting and resolving issues. Perform network maintenance and system upgrades. Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure. Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with IT Security.

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

• The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of general networking experience.
• 2+ years of wireless deployment troubleshooting experience / working with wireless hand scanners.
• Experience configuring and administering Fortinet firewalls, switches, and access points.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate technical information to other technical team members, but also to coworkers in other departments who may not have a technical background.
• Experience in analyzing network performance and performing troubleshooting with debugging and packet captures.
• Comprehensive understanding of network routing protocols and concepts.
• Proficient with Cisco Routers and Switches.
• Experience with Cisco and Fortinet Firewalls.
• Knowledge of various VPN Technologies such as DMVPN, IPSec, IPSec over GRE, and DTLS/TLS.
• Basic understanding of network concepts in cloud environments.

Experience Level: Intermediate Level

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
