Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Meta is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Quality Engineer (MQE) to join our Data Center Engineering & Construction (DEC) Quality team. This role is responsible for the generation, implementation, and management of a Manufacturing focused Meta Quality Program, by establishing a Quality Program that is focused on people, processes, and accountability through influential vendor management and effective partnerships with site-based stakeholders. Through leadership and partnerships, the Manufacturing Quality Engineer will utilize our program core competencies to drive vendor improvement objectives and issue mitigation strategies to ensure day one readiness, predictable on-time delivery, and operational reliability of our global campuses.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct vendor audits, evaluate on site trend data reflective of vendor performance, and establish strategic vendor improvement objectives.
• Develop/monitor quality program metrics to evaluate vendor manufacturing & project performance.
• Contribute to building high performing teams by mentoring and developing offsite Vendor teams.
• In conjunction with the Regional Quality Manager, BMS Quality Manager, DEC, ISCE and FacOps matrixed teams establish effective processes and standards.
• Provide leadership to offsite vendor and onsite OFE management & quality teams.
• Provide direction and feedback to vendor staff, general contractor staff and trade partners on the OFCI Management and Quality program.
• Provide onboarding & continuous training of Vendor personnel to ensure awareness of quality procedures.
• Coordinate quality issues & schedule dynamics between the Meta design, ISCE, construction, and facility operations teams.
• Audit Quality activities of vendor and project team staff as often and as necessary.
• Recommend and verify effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions for Vendor Audit & Execution non-conformances and quality issues.
• Partner with Vendor teams and Project Teams in review of Energization, Start-up, and Commissioning schedules.
• Help drive the closure of open issues and escalate any outstanding open items.
• Assist in confirming that testing documentation is properly completed and retained in a timely manner.
• Attend required Construction Meetings.
• Remain informed of operational equipment deficiencies, evaluate systemic potential, and program manage systemic vendor RCA and mitigation strategies.
• Travel domestically & internationally as needed (anticipated 40-60%).

Minimum Qualifications:

• 7+ years experience of Quality Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Improvement, Process Management or Data Center Engineering/Operations.
• Bachelors in engineering or construction management or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in using analysis, problem-solving, innovative thinking, communications skills, and associated quality tools.
• Demonstrated experience in directly and indirectly managing output of complex projects, programs, suppliers, or internal teams.
• A proven communicator with experience energizing short-term and maintain long-term relationships.
• Experience with sharing information and influencing others.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in supplier performance management.
• Experience utilizing Autodesk BIM360 Field and/or ACC Build software.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Equivalent Certifications.
• Technical knowledge of data centers and critical electrical and mechanical systems.
• Certified ASQ quality manager or quality engineer or auditor.
• Industrial engineering experience.

Public Compensation: $144,000/year to $201,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits.
