Lead Engineering Technician

As a Lead Engineering Technician, you will play a vital role in assembling and manufacturing electrical and electronic components, ensuring high-quality standards in our production processes. You will report directly to our Test Engineering Supervisor and you'll work out of our Boulder City, NV location. Hours may vary at times to fill the needs of our customers. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our engineering operations, contributing to the successful delivery of innovative solutions in the aerospace and defense sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical and electronic components, wiring harnesses, mechanical devices, and other electrical assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Manufacture electronic and electrical circuitry, as well as wiring harnesses, according to Manufacturing Orders (M.O.), Drawings, Engineering Changes, Customer Specifications, and Process Instructions (P.I.).
  • Operate automatic stripping, crimping, wire cutting, and basic test equipment; integrate and test sub-assemblies and/or final assemblies following blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and test procedures.
  • Make continuity checks on work in process and completed work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Site Manager.

You Must Have

  • Associate degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Experience in cable harness building, including both crimp and solder techniques.
  • Knowledge of IPC, J-STD, AS, and MIL specifications as they relate to Defense/Aerospace requirements in harness building.
  • Proficiency in soldering operations and the ability to perform rework on assemblies and/or systems based on testing results.
  • Current or previous IPC-620 and IPC-610 certification.
  • An active DoD Secret level security clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
  • Must be willing to travel 25% of the time for up to two weeks at a time.

We Value

  • Advanced Engineering degrees such as EE (Electrical Engineering) or ME (Mechanical Engineering).
  • Experience working under AS 9100 standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, with trips lasting up to two weeks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
