Laundry Lead Engineer

Schedule: Full Time/Day

Location: Reno, NV

Salary: $35.00 Hr.

Minimum/Preferred Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Can operate photocopier, two-way radios, fax machine, etc., in order to perform job functions and assist guests.
  • Engage in considerable physical activity on a continuous basis.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools of trade including, but not limited to; wrenches, hammers, hydraulic jacks, snakes, chain hoists, drill motors, auger equipment, electric metering devices, etc.
  • Read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to complete reports, correspondence, complete work orders, read blue prints and schematics, and communicate with guests and fellow team member.
  • Analyze a situation in order to decide whether to repair or replace equipment, considering purpose and cost effectiveness, etc.
  • Can analyze data and drawing conclusions from written and computer generated materials.
  • Will remain alert throughout the duration of the shift and remain calm during emergency situations.
  • Resolve issues using sound judgment and initiative.
  • Organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Is able to comprehend and follow supervisor's instructions. Maintain attendance in conformance with Hotel standards. Must be neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
  • Can work with interruptions.

Education and/or Experience: Any combination of education, training, or experience listed that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Demands: Must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, team members and others. Lift/carry items weighing up to 20 lbs., and up to 8' of height constantly, up to 50 lbs. and 6' of height frequently, and up to 75 lbs. and 4' in height occasionally. Sit, walk/stand, bend (at neck and waist), squat, twist (at neck and waist), kneel, climb, crawl, and/or reach (above and below shoulder level) as needed, or for duration of shift, walking 2-4 miles during an 8-hour shift. Fine manipulation of each hand, simple/power grasping and repetitive use of hands are needed to accomplish essential functions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Job Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Maintain, service and repair all models of commercial laundry equipment including but not limited to washers, driers, ironers, boilers, extractors, presses, stackers and other machinery used.
  • Train, mentor and assist in the growth of the maintenance team while delegating tasks and holding accountable.
  • Establish and maintain an effective preventative maintenance schedule for equipment.
  • Respond to all equipment breakdowns in a timely
