This position is for a HR SPECIALIST (COMPENSATION/RECRUITMENT/PLACEMENT), PD# T5032P01, part of the Nevada National Guard. This position is located in the JFHQ-State Human Resources Office (HRO). The purpose of the position is to provide support for recruitment and placement, military technician compatibility, pay setting, 3R incentives, advanced in-hire rates, and RIF actions. Work is performed for both Army (ARNG) and Air National Guard (ANG) full-time employees within the State.

General Experience: Must have at least 3 years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-04, that demonstrates the ability to: Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; Plan and organize work; and Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Specialized Experience: Must have at least 1 year of specialized experience at the GS-09 level interpreting and applying a body of complex HR laws, regulations, and precedents to provide technical advice and administer functions in both federal compensation (such as setting pay, determining eligibility for special rates, and administering allowances) and recruitment/placement (such as developing job announcements, applying qualification standards, and adjudicating veterans' preference).
Education: There is no specific education requirement for this position. The applicant's record of experience and/or training must show possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position. NOTE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable for Administrative and Management positions in the 0201 Occupational Series. You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Training/Educational claims. To receive credit for Training/Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Training/Education requirements for this position.
