The Sales Development Representative is an entry-level sales role responsible for responding to Marketing Qualified Leads, calling prospects, and holding meetings in an effort to identify and qualify companies. Must be well equipped in using best practices and methodologies; use of all available means to perform effective research in the initial development and ongoing maintenance of inbound requests. The Sales Development Representative will partner with Account Executives/Account Managers to drive sales within their pipeline. The Sales Development Representative will regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment when carrying out this position's major responsibilities and activities.
Initiate the sales cycle and build pipeline by qualifying companies using proven processes and methodologies
Foster a strong partnership with the Account Executives/Account Managers, passing qualified opportunities to field reps to move the sales cycle forward.
Meet sales activities (KPI's): Dials, Calls, Follow-ups, Emails and Meetings.
Knowledge and ability to accurately determine customer requirements and clearly articulate products, features, and benefits that provide relevant value.
Maintain accurate details of daily activity within the CRM system and accurately categorize disposition of leads and target contacts.
Use all available means to perform effective research in the initial development and ongoing maintenance of targeted account lists.
Establishing a record of accomplishment of driving extraordinary revenue results with big-name accounts and a product that solves real-world problems with a strong, documentable ROI.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum one year of experience in a related field preferred (sales or SAAS). Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Great attitude, energy, and enthusiasm are critical. Ability to collaborate, innovate, problem-solve and accept/provide feedback in a team setting. Ability to retain constant new information while working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to negotiate and gain commitment from all levels within an organization. Must be self-driven with a healthy competitive spirit.
