We are looking for: Senior Data Engineer AWS
Main responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy data pipelines and platforms using AWS services.
- Build and evolve data architectures like data lake, lakehouse, or data mesh.
- Develop end-to-end data solutions, including reusable frameworks and not just individual pipelines.
- Collaborate actively with Data Engineering, Analytics, and DevOps profiles to deliver high-value solutions for the business.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and information management policies.
- Lead the resolution of data-related incidents and participate in change management processes, demonstrating ownership of projects from start to finish.
Requirements:
Excludents:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working in cloud environments.
- Solid knowledge in Spark (Scala), Python, and SQL.
- Proven experience in AWS, especially with S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, EC2, and Lambda.
- Deep understanding of ETL design and data modeling.
- Ability to understand end-to-end processes and make appropriate technical decisions based on context.
- Analytical thinking oriented to identify edge cases and future scalability challenges.
- University degree in technology fields, preferably Computer Engineering or similar.
- Advanced level of English.
Desirables:
- Experience with CI/CD tools, such as GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of Apache Iceberg or other analytical table formats.
- Experience with data quality frameworks like Great Expectations or Deequ.
- Knowledge of Bash and HCL.
