Skilled Machine Operator – Metal Fabrication & Welding

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join our metal fabrication team. This position involves operating slitter, lathe, and milling machines to produce precision metal components. You will also assist with welding and fabrication tasks to ensure high-quality finished products.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate slitter, lathe, and milling machines to cut, shape, and finish metal parts.
• Set up machines, adjust tooling, and monitor production for accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Assist with welding and metal fabrication as needed.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with all safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years operating slitter, lathe, or milling machines.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and welding techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.26 - $30.26/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
