We're looking for a Senior Principal Software Development Engineer to help us build new service for our customers, operate our service and improve our engineering process.

As a member of the OCI Platform Service team, you will work with our product team and other engineering teams to define new features for our customers. You'll design those features and then write code to build and operate them. You will help operate our service, troubleshoot problems and generally support our customers. You'll provide technical and project leadership to other software engineers on our team. You'll bring 10+ years of software engineering or related experience. You've built and operated cloud services. You have strong development experience with an Object Oriented Language. You demonstrate strong ownership, solid communication skills and a bias for action. You're comfortable leading projects and leading other engineers.

This team is targeting candidates who can work ONSITE in Nashville-TN. Relocation Assistance provided. (This is not a remote position).

Minimum Qualifications

+ BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

+ 10+ years of experience delivering and operating large software systems at scale.

+ Proficient in Java and at least one of the following scripting languages (Python, Go).

+ Experience building scalable, cloud native distributed systems.

+ Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

+ Understanding of REST Architecture and JSON.

+ Able to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing.

+ Experience with production operations and best practices for putting quality code in production and troubleshoot issues when they arise.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
