Senior Operations Manager

What You Will Do
- Lead and help oversee all plant operations, including production, and workforce management.
- Quality Management: Manage and ensure all quality-related aspects are completed and documented to meet established quality standards.
- Sales, Inventory, Operations, & Planning (SIOP): Lead SIOP cycles to meet planned financial commitments and optimize inventory management processes.
- New Product Introductions (NPI): Support manufacturing and transition build plans for NPIs, ensuring smooth and successful transitions.
- Leadership & Communication: Lead Tier management meetings and Gemba/walkabout review processes to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Cost Reduction & Process Improvement: Drive cost reduction efforts and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Scheduling & Sequencing: Lead scheduling and sequencing of work to ensure adherence to production schedules and optimal resource utilization.
- Materials & Logistics Management: Head materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.
- Performance Management: Establish performance objectives and lead manufacturing site performance and productivity initiatives.
- Production Innovation: Lead/Support production innovation initiatives, to enhance production capabilities and drive competitive advantage.
- Customer Partnership: Partner with customers to understand their needs and issues, ensuring the delivery of satisfactory service standards.
- Work Transfer: Lead/Support make-to-make and make-to-buy or buy-to-make work transfer efforts as necessary to optimize operations.
- Leadership Development: Coach, mentor, and develop leaders, fostering a culture of continuous learning and succession planning within the team.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Aerospace and/or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence background preferred.
- Prior site leadership experience preferred.
- Experience with inventory practices, production processes, quality control, costs, process improvement, and other lean techniques for maximizing the effectiveness of operations.
- Experience/certifications with the implementation of Lean/Six sigma initiatives.

The salary range for this role is $124,000 - $250,000. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
