Intern must be available to work full time (40 hours/week) during the 10-week program.
Program Dates: May 29 – August 7, 2026.
Location: This position is fully remote / work from home in the continental US. Preference for Mountain/Pacific time.
Work Authorization: US work authorization required for this role. Individuals requiring visa sponsorship are not eligible. Program eligibility is contingent on the candidate's commitment to the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made.
Lumen's Enterprise Sales and Public Sector organization is looking for a Strategic Sales intern for our Large Enterprise team. This team's focus is centered on solution-based selling – conducting research to understand the potential customer, their industry, and market base/demographics – and then coupling that insight with knowledge of Lumen's services and solutions. The intern will have the opportunity to work with large clients, gain technical sales experience, and develop sales techniques through exposure and mentorship. Interns can expect to assist with hands-on team projects and individual contributions.
Main Responsibilities:
Required qualifications:
Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship. Graduating August 2026 – May 2027. Preferred fields include but not limited to: Marketing, Sales, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related programs.
Proficiency and understanding of:
Microsoft tech stack – Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Copilot, SharePoint
Sales mindset – positive & fearless; passionate about sales and customer engagement, driven to achieve success and a 'hunter's' mindset
Preferred qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Enjoys collaboration and works well in team environment
Comfort interacting with different levels of leadership and presenting solutions
Works to think of creative solutions to challenging problems, unafraid to ask questions
Ability to multitask while working in fast-paced environment
Customer-first mindset
Salesforce experience
Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual's level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role. Hourly Based Pay Range: Min: $26/hour Max: $38/hour
