The Role

Intern must be available to work full time (40 hours/week) during the 10-week program.

Program Dates: May 29 – August 7, 2026.

Location: This position is fully remote / work from home in the continental US.

Work Authorization: US work authorization required for this role. Program eligibility is contingent on the candidate's commitment to the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made.

As a Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering Intern within the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), you will contribute to the development, automation, and optimization of cloud-native infrastructure and platform services.

You'll work closely with senior engineers and architects to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, support platform engineering initiatives, and help drive innovation across multi-cloud environments.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure as Code Development: Assist in writing, testing, and deploying IaC scripts using tools like Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation to provision and manage cloud resources across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Automation & Tooling: Develop scripts and automation workflows to support platform operations, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring integrations, and configuration management.
  • Cloud Platform Support: Participate in the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure services.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain technical documentation for IaC modules, platform components, and operational procedures.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product owners, platform engineers, and infrastructure teams to deliver business-impacting solutions.
  • Daily Agile Ceremonies: Engage in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of an agile development team.
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Support continuous integration and delivery efforts by contributing to pipeline development and testing automation.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required qualifications:

  • Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship.
  • Graduating August 2026 – May 2027.
  • Preferred fields include but not limited to: Computer Science, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or related technical field.

Proficiency and understanding of:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong interest in cloud technologies, infrastructure automation, and platform engineering.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation).
  • Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools.
  • Basic understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and adaptability.

Compensation: Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual's level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role.

Hourly Based Pay Range: Min: $31/hour Max: $46/hour
