Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the electrical design of custom fire apparatus. This role involves drawing schematics and harnesses, creating manual content, as well as developing operational and troubleshooting guides for customers and shop associates to align with the production schedule. The ideal candidate must effectively interface with all levels of a manufacturing organization and have a proven track record as a design engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical schematics and wire harnesses for custom fire apparatus.
• Create and update manual content, as well as operational and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet production schedules.
• Implement engineering change orders and maintain the bill of materials.
• Utilize AutoCAD for drafting and schematic development.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs and control panels, including CAN-BUS systems.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in electrical engineering and AutoCAD.
• Experience with ladder logic programming.
• Ability to create and interpret schematics.
• Knowledge of drafting and engineering change orders.
• Experience with PLC programming and control panel design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Candidates with an Associate's or a four-year degree will be considered.

Work Environment:

The work environment features a very well-lit engineering room with about five rows of cubicles for engineers, surrounded by supervisor offices. The team operates in a relaxed and collaborative atmosphere, with frequent opportunities for teamwork and problem-solving. The spacious manufacturing floor is clean, well-lit, and not overly loud, promoting a family-oriented and team-like environment. Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Snyder, NE.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $90000.00/yr. Health, dental, vision, 401k
