Acute/Emergency Services Manager & Trauma Nurse Coordinator

Valley County Health System is seeking an Acute/Emergency Services Manager & Trauma Nurse Coordinator to join our team. This is an exempt (salaried) position.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Acute / Emergency Services Manager & Trauma Nurse Coordinator is an exempt position and will supervise the Acute Care and Emergency Services departments. This position is responsible for coordinating onboarding and orientation. The Manager will be responsible for the schedule and nurse competency training and will assist with policies and Utilization Review. The Manager will be responsible for the oversight of nursing care, will follow up with documentation/care plans, and will complete daily patient rounds. This position will also be responsible for the overall direction of the Emergency Services and Trauma programs including chart reviews, staff education, and ensuring that VCHS is providing quality and compassionate care. This position serves on the VCHS Management Team and attends various meetings.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current Registered Nurse licensure for the state of Nebraska
• Provide safe and appropriate care within the standards of nursing
• Experience with computers (word, excel, etc.)
• Minimum of three years RN experience is required
• Independent problem-solving skills and self-directed work experience
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills
