Location: NDOL Administrative Building, 550 South 16th Street, Lincoln, NE
Work Schedule: 8am-5pm; Monday - Friday
Requirements/Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, management, financial management, human services, social sciences or a related field and three years' experience in program or grant management with employment and training programs. Experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in public administration, business administration, social sciences, or a related field. Experience in researching, interpreting, and explaining state and federal laws, regulations, and advisories; developing complex policies; monitoring/auditing state and federal grant awards; training development, and supervision of customer management systems.
Other: Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Knowledge of: laws, regulations, and local operating procedures governing the delivery of employment and training programs; principles/practices of office administration and management, agency budgeting, and computer technology; computer technology with experience in complex data bases, Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Skilled in: analytical thinking, problem solving.
Ability to: communicate effectively; present information to others; interact with diverse groups; determining priorities, organize and delegate work, direct and supervise, manage, and motivate staff to meet goals in delivering quality services.
