Job Description:

Work hours are 6:45 am - 3:15 pm, working 40 hours every 2 week pay period with every other weekend/holiday off. Commuting bonus of $200 available to those who drive 30+ miles to work, . Benefits eligible include: Medical/Dental/Vision, Retirement and more for both you and your family!

This position will perform, but will not be limited to, the following job duties:

• Prepare, season, cook and portion food such as sauces, soups, meats, salads, baked goods, vegetables for regular and modified diets according to menus and recipes; practice food conservation and proper storage or reuse of leftovers.
• Responsible for cleanliness of work area and equipment and completing special cleaning assignments.
• Responsible for cooking foods by using a grill, oven, steam equipment, mixer, blender, slicer, Robot Coupe, Blast Chiller, etc.
• Know the safety factor of each piece of equipment and operate it accordingly. Maintain equipment in sanitary proper working condition and report any equipment not in working order to a supervisor. Assist in training of new hires.
• Knowledge of: cooking techniques for meats, soups, salads and baked goods; food sanitation practices; the proper handling and processing of a variety of vegetables and fruits; kitchen equipment and utensils; kitchen safety practices; facility standards and procedures for the cleaning of dishes, utensils, equipment and facilities; facility food preparation schedules.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: One year of coursework/training in food preparation and/or cooking and baking experience in a large scale food service operation.

Other: Must be 18 years old.
