Troubleshoot and maintain computers, printers, telephony, and network hardware. Includes physically installing workstations, smartphones, printers, etc. Utilize imaging process to image and configure workstations. Use Active Directory and automated software delivery utilities to effectively deploy and enforce software installation groups and manage computer objects on the domain. Provide technical training for hardware and enterprise-supported applications to agency staff. Provide limited coordination with vendors when necessary. Correspond with network support staff to resolve connectivity issues. Assist network teams when on-site troubleshooting and/or work is required. Communicate with agency management on IT issues/projects; documentation of work, communicating and sharing with other IT staff to remain up-to-date with agency needs and keep others informed of upcoming IT changes. Other duties as assigned and within the scope of the classification.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in computer science and two years of related technical and business experience. Two years of related technical and business experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. OR Post high school coursework in computer science and three years of related technical and business experience. Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience troubleshooting and supporting PCs in a large Enterprise network. Experience in providing technical support, Active Directory troubleshooting/administration and troubleshooting for remote client/server computing environments. Experience performing basic problem solving of network, printer, and server issues.
Other: This position requires travel. As such, the incumbent must be able to present a valid driver's license or another form of reliable transportation. Regular and reliable attendance required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Proficiency in the use of general or specialized hand tools used to perform PC maintenance and have a strong understanding of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365. An understanding of basic wiring and troubleshooting Local Area Networks in the Ethernet environment is required. Excellent leadership skills, reliability, self-starter, works well individually and as a team in a limited supervisory environment, as well as customer service and communication skills. The position requires lifting of 50 lbs.
