The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Developmental Disabilities Division seeks a well-organized, charismatic individual to join our leadership team as a DD Service District Administrator. The primary role of this position involves overseeing the administration, direction, and organization of Service Coordination teammates within an identified Services District. This position will be located in Omaha. In this position, you will serve as a direct supervisor for approximately 7–9 Service Coordination Supervisors across multiple districts within your assigned region of Nebraska.
As a Service District Administrator you will:
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social work, business administration, public administration, human development, human services, behavioral health, law, special education, quality/project management or other closely related field AND two years of supervisory experience in developmental or intellectual disabilities program and services; OR a Master's degree in any of the above mentioned fields.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supervising and leading teammates, facilitating, and presenting in meetings, and engaging in difficult conversations. Experience in Word, Excel, Outlook, Nfocus and Therap. Knowledge of Centers for Medicaid and Medicare (CMS) and Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Waivers, specifically the two DD HCBS Waivers, the Aged and Disabled (AD) Waiver, and the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Waiver. Program knowledge of Targeted Case Management and Service Coordination responsibilities and functions.
Other: Possess a valid driver's license and have immediate access to a reliable vehicle. A state vehicle may be provided dependent upon office location.
