The Assistive Technology Partnership (ATP) supports families across Nebraska to learn about and access Assistive Technology that supports greater independence and opportunity. Join the Nebraska Department of Education's Assistive Technology Partnership (ATP) as an Assistive Technology Marketing Specialist. In this position, you'll develop marketing strategies and play a key role in promoting programs and services through social media, websites, events, print and digital materials, and public outreach while ensuring content is accessible and aligned with branding standards.

Office Location: This position is assigned to our office located at 84th & O St, Lincoln, NE.

Pay Grade 5: $25.287/hour ($25.603/hour after pay structure increases on June 29, 2026)

This rate is based upon available budget funds; any offer will be made at this rate.

Essential Functions

  • Develops and updates Assistive Technology Partnership (ATP) standards for marketing content in compliance with NDE branding guidelines and state and federal regulations related to accessibility (i.e., Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)).
  • Reviews and orders any print or digital content released by ATP.
  • Supports training and outreach regarding ATP and accessibility, including development and delivery of training to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitates ATP outreach events through all stages of event lifecycle including planning, negotiating, coordinating, implementing, and maintaining high quality events.
  • Administers social media pages and websites for the Assistive Technology Partnership (ATP), analyzes performances, and maintains efficient website structure and page layouts.
  • Reviews content uploaded to ATP websites and social media pages to ensure compliance with ATP marketing plan and WCAG accessibility.
  • Provides technical assistance and development related to custom forms, videos, surveys, and federal report designs.
  • Oversees ATPs annual outreach and training budget
  • Maintains regular & reliable attendance, possesses a valid driver's license and travels independently, and works in a variety of settings

Working Conditions and Travel:

This position requires approximately 95% of work time spent in an office environment; the remaining 5% is spent traveling or working in alternative sites such as workshops, conferences, and events. There is also approximately one day of overnight travel per month.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in a related field and two years of experience related to the essential functions of the position. Any equivalent education and/or work experience may be substituted in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with website development and marketing designs, and working with individuals with disabilities. Certification in web and online accessibility.
