Contract: Permanent

Location: Hybrid (Head Office: Quorum Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne)

This is a hybrid working role, so you'll need to be able to work from our Head Office 1-2 times a week.

Hours per week: 37

Salary: Up to £70,000 depending on experience plus £5,000 car allowance.

About the role

We're excited to be looking for a Head of Financial Services to join our Finance team to help shape, grow, and strengthen our financial operations while enabling the business to scale with confidence.

Our Finance team partners across the business to provide financial insight, ensure operational excellence, and support strategic decision making. We're a collaborative group who thrive on problem-solving and driving continuous improvement.

As Head of Financial Services, you'll gain exposure to senior leadership and have the opportunity to influence company-wide decisions. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, optimising processes, and leading a high-performance team to deliver measurable impact.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of financial services, including accounting, treasury, and reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that support growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability.
  • Drive automation and process improvements to ensure scalability and efficiency.
  • Partner with executive leadership to provide insights that inform business strategy and decision-making.
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a strong finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

We'd love to hear from you if you offer the following:

  • Professional body accountancy qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA), or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in senior finance leadership roles, ideally with exposure to both strategic and operational finance.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and building high-performing functions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
