The VP, Marketing will lead the Marketing team's efforts across the Fandango portfolio of brands (Fandango, Fandango at Home, and Rotten Tomatoes) by working cross-functionally to drive the vision and execution of the team's marketing strategy, go-to-market capabilities, and marketing partnership opportunities. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented with an ability to handle multiple projects at once and prioritize within a fast-paced work environment. Excellent communication skills are a must, and frequent, polished communication and interaction with executive and C-suite representatives will be expected.

Core Focus Areas:

  • Brand Marketing – Lead the brand and product marketing vision across Fandango, Fandango at Home, and Rotten Tomatoes, ensuring clear articulation of brand positioning and execution of high-impact campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and growth.
  • Exhibitor Marketing – Support and guide marketing initiatives in collaboration with theatrical exhibitors around ticketing and studio-driven promotional opportunities.
  • Platform Marketing – Develop strategic marketing plans with platform partners (e.g., Roku, Samsung) to deepen relationships and drive increased viewership and transactions for Fandango at Home.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive long- and short-term business plans, including strategy, marketing, and budget planning for all Fandango brands
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Marketing team with collaboration, kindness, mentorship, and forward-thinking strategic vision. Set clear priorities, coach for growth, and ensure delivery against strategic objectives and timelines.
  • In collaboration with the SVP, adopt a consumer-centric, proactive approach to marketing planning by identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing user/segment needs to produce strong marketing strategies and clear, executable vision
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Technology, Legal, and brand business leaders to refine product value proposition and ensure internal and external marketing activations support and elevate that positioning
  • Create and execute strategies and marketing initiatives that drive awareness, engagement, product adoption, and market leadership
  • Lead go-to-market strategies for dynamic product initiatives that span across multiple areas of the viewer experience
  • Shape the strategic vision for omnichannel marketing campaigns with clear campaign objectives, core messaging, creative direction, and audience strategy that ensures alignment with business goals, brand identity, and customer insights. Then, partner closely with the Portfolio Marketing teams on executing campaigns that deliver on that vision across paid, earned, owned, social, and experiential elements
  • Partner with Consumer Insights, Analytics, and Finance to better understand customer behaviors and performance metrics, inform strategic planning, and support annual P&L development
  • Establish KPIs for product launches and rollouts in alignment with product leads
  • Ensure teams are aligned with marketing priorities and that all initiatives are delivered on time with proper planning and clear strategic focus

Basic Requirements:

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, specifically in brand and/or digital marketing, with partner marketing experience a plus
  • Demonstrated marketing experience in the marketing, agency, media, and/or entertainment industry with a proven track record of building brand plans and launching marketing campaigns
  • Prior leadership and people management experience is a must
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience working alongside a development (physical or digital) product team that includes an understanding of how product/tech realities can impact marketing
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact cross-functionally internally and externally with colleagues, clients, and C-suite executives
  • Solid understanding of consumer needs and competitive landscape
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to execute against multiple, high-priority projects at once
  • A highly resourceful leader with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills who is willing to go the extra mile for the success of the team, and who understands that this is a player-coach role whose success is measured by team performance. This team has a "no ego" policy and expects this role to support that
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to develop consensus within diverse groups and drive results
  • Able to stay calm in high stress, high-pressure situations
  • Strong client orientation and consultative approach combined with a proven record of excellent program/project and stakeholder management
  • Entertainment company (especially movie studio), and/or ticketing experience in or out of the movie industry is a bonus
  • Demonstrated experience setting strategic marketing direction across brand, social, content, and media channels in collaboration with centralized execution teams or agencies
  • Proven ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring clarity of vision and smooth campaign execution across indirect reporting lines
  • Experience partnering with creative, media, social, and PR teams to bring campaigns to life that deliver measurable results
  • Strong creative sensibility with the ability to evaluate and guide asset development, ensuring high standards even when production is managed externally

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the Universal City, CA office a minimum of three days per week
  • Some travel may be required (~15%)
