Director, Human Resources Business Partnerships
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Labour Relations, the Director of HR Business Partnerships will be responsible for providing guidance, support and ensuring consistency with the HR Business Partner model at NAV CANADA.

In this role you will:
- Have full oversight and management of nine (9) HR Business Partners, located across Canada, to develop and drive LR and HR strategies enabling NAV CANADA to attract, develop and retain top talent.
- Be responsible for all aspects of services related to advising management and employees on strategic and tactical LR and HR issues and ensuring the business' unique needs are reflected in the delivery of LR and HR processes, tools and services.
- Work closely with wide range of LR and HR functional groups including, talent acquisition, employee relations, labour relations, organizational health, legislated programs, diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging, total rewards, leadership and development, and change management, to ensure initiatives are fully integrated into all levels of management within the field.
- Act as a strategic partner to align labour relations and human resources with the business strategy.
- Provide vision, leadership, planning, project coordination and management for the development of an effective labour and human resources strategy.
- Provide interpretation/guidance to the business unit leadership team regarding Labour Relations, policies, performance management and collective agreements.
- Manage, coach and provide advice to Human Resources Business Partners and Advisors
- Assist in the development and implementation of Labour Relations strategy on a nationwide basis.
- Consult and advise legal counsel on labour relations matters.
What you bring:
Education:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, Law or Equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum eight (8) years' progressive Human Resources experience including five (5) years' Labour Relations experience with a thorough understanding of grievances, collective bargaining, employee relations and building proactive relationships with union leadership.
- Minimum five (5) years' experience of proven leadership including developing business relationships with internal clients.
- Experience as an HR generalist (disability management, leadership development, work place accommodation and employee relations)
- Experience conducting high level labour relations analysis.
- Experience leading investigations.
- In depth knowledge of relevant labour and employment legislation, including employment law ruling and trending and human resources practices.

Working Conditions:
- This position requires a minimum of 3 days per week on site in accordance with the Flex Work Policy
- Occasional travel required
