Systems Engineer III

Location: Virginia Beach, VA Clearance Required: TS/SCI Position Type: Full-time

Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a Systems Engineer III for a potential opportunity to support NIWC Atlantic in Charleston, SC. This is a Key Personnel position required for orals. This Engineer will oversee the creation, integration, and lifecycle support of hybrid software, web, and hardware products for U.S. Navy navigation systems, ensuring solutions meet technical, cost, schedule, and operational requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience: Seven (7) years of professional IT experience overseeing the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance.
• Integration Skills: Demonstrated experience integrating various network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices through system specification, design, coding, testing, and maintenance support.
• Project Perspective: Ability to consider overall project design factors, including cost, schedule, and social implications associated with project execution.

Specific Experience

• At least five (5) years of technical experience in the design and development of U.S. Navy Navigation Systems, including one or more of the following specialized areas (experience may be achieved simultaneously):
• Printed Circuit Board (PCB) interface protocols (I/Os)
• Digital design using state-of-the-art microprocessors or analog systems
• Power and/or RF (radio frequency) design

• Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) standards and Navy-specific navigation system requirements.
