Salesforce Business & Technical Architect (Sales Ops, AI & Automations)

Salesforce Business & Technical Architect – Sales Operations, AI & Automations

Remote

Role Summary

We are seeking a Salesforce Business & Technical Architect with strong hands-on Salesforce development and architecture expertise to design, implement, and govern enterprise-scale solutions for Sales Operations, AI, and Automations. This is a hybrid role that blends business strategy alignment with deep technical execution.

The ideal candidate will be both a strategic advisor and a hands-on technical leader — capable of engaging executives on business outcomes while rolling up sleeves to design data models, code in Apex, build LWCs, review pull requests, and architect complex integrations.

Business & Solution Architecture

  • Partner with Sales Ops and Marketing Ops to define capability maps, sales forecasting models, and end-to-end CRM processes.
  • Translate business needs into Salesforce platform solutions (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud).
  • Own the solution blueprint across Sales processes, AI use cases, and automation workflows.

Technical Architecture & Development Leadership

  • Lead the design and development of custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Triggers, Batch/Queueable classes, Platform Events, and Async Processing.
  • Architect and govern complex integrations with external systems (ERP, LIMS, MDM, Data Warehouse, Marketing Automation) using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Middleware (MuleSoft/ETL).
  • Define and manage data modeling, sharing/security architecture, and performance optimization strategies.
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor developers on Salesforce best practices.
  • Drive DevOps practices with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and release governance.

AI & Automations

  • Embed AI/Einstein/Agentforce into Sales workflows (lead scoring, opportunity insights, pipeline forecasting).
  • Design and deliver Salesforce Flow Orchestration, Approvals, and Process Automations to streamline Sales Ops.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to integrate predictive models, copilots, and intelligent automation into CRM.

Stakeholder Engagement & Governance

  • Act as the technical advisor and architect-of-record for Sales Ops and CRM transformations.
  • Facilitate architecture design sessions, PoCs, and executive-level solution reviews.
  • Establish and enforce architecture governance, RACI models, and technical debt management.

Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years of Salesforce experience, including architecture, solution design, and hands-on development.
  • Expert in Apex programming (Triggers, Batch, Async, Platform Events, REST APIs).
  • Strong expertise in Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura components, and UI/UX best practices.
  • Proven experience designing and managing API integrations, event-driven architectures, and middleware.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, Experience Cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps (Git, CI/CD, SFDX, automated testing frameworks).
  • Proven ability to conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and enforce coding standards.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with both executives and technical teams.

Preferred

  • Salesforce certifications: System Architect, Application Architect, Platform Developer II, or CTA track.
  • Experience with Einstein Copilot, Agentforce, Data Cloud, MuleSoft, RPA, or Intelligent Document Processing (IDP).
  • Background in high-scale enterprise integrations and automation-heavy Salesforce programs.
  • Experience in health-tech, biotech, or B2B SaaS industries.

Success Measures

  • High-quality Salesforce solutions delivered with scalable architecture and clean code.
  • Increased Sales Ops efficiency through automation and AI adoption.
  • Measurable improvements in pipeline forecasting, sales execution, and CRM adoption.
  • Reduction of technical debt and improved DevOps velocity.

Why Join Us

  • Be both a strategic Salesforce architect and a hands-on technical leader.
  • Shape the future of Sales Ops transformation with AI and automation.
