Electronics Manufacturing And Quality Engineer

This person is responsible for maximizing the throughput of a new product by working onsite at the supplier to understand issues, debug in real time, optimize product flow through test/repair/debug areas, and resolve incoming quality issues.

Task Breakdown/Workflow:

  • 20% — Meetings
  • 30% — Independent analysis
  • 50% — Collaborative work with internal and external engineers/technicians

This role will be on-site at a supplier (non-client owned building). They will need to sync with other engineers that work for the client on overall program status and the tactical daily plan / top issues. From there, their work may include gathering more information through:

  • Physical inspection on the factory floor
  • Reviewing logs, Excel data, etc. from their laptop

MUST HAVES:

  • BSME, BSIE, BSEE, or related engineering degree
  • 5 years of experience in an engineering and/or quality role. 3 years is acceptable if that time has been spent in a factory working directly on electronics. If they mostly spend time in an office and only visit factories, more experience is required.
  • Electronics manufacturing experience
  • Data analysis - Excel proficiency at a minimum
  • Manufacturing and process engineering background
  • Great communication skills

NICE TO HAVES:

  • SQL

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
