Industrial Engineer Position

A client of Insight Global is looking for a qualified Industrial Engineer to work onsite in Nashville, IL. General job duties include providing industrial engineering consultation in support of operational and productivity improvements.

Specific job duties include maintaining an accurate capacity planning model, creating and maintaining the company's 'Plan for Every Part' documents, developing and administering a plant layout process, assisting with the development and maintenance of a plant-wide scheduling and inventory system, applying time and motion study techniques, evaluating forklift truck and driver utilization, recommending cost reduction ideas, performing process modeling and analysis, and participating in Six Sigma projects.

The company complies with ISO14001, TS16949, and all Health and Safety policies and procedures. Compensation is $80-90k plus a bonus structure. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and requirements include a B.S. degree in Engineering, solid Industrial Engineering skills, strong problem-solving skills, strong math skills and understanding of statistics, ability to develop and maintain working models of computer-based evaluation tools, proficiency in AutoCAD, ability to manage multiple priorities, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to readily resolve conflicts and maintain progress on tasks and projects, ability to adjust to changing needs and conditions, basic computer skills - Microsoft Office software, must learn Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) and Systematic Handling Analysis (SHA), basic understanding of 8D, APQP and SPC, and basic understanding of standardized work and kaizen activity.
