Job Summary and Qualifications

The Desktop Support Intern is responsible for ordering, receiving, deploying and disposing of assets for the corporate campuses. Responsibilities also include coordinating with Desktop Analysts, Desktop Seniors, and Vendors. Duties include arranging deliveries to all corporate campus locations, making deliveries, managing inventory levels, utilizing the corporate purchasing system to procure assets, working with the incident management system and maintaining the related CMDB records. Will provide creative and innovative ideas and approaches that will improve the performance of HCA desktop environment as well as assisting in meeting the business goals and strategies of the corporation. Other responsibilities, some second-level support for desktop support trouble tickets encompass the setup of new or replacement desktop computing equipment. This role also involves configuring and delivery for mobile messaging devices and IP Telephony devices. To excel in this role, a comprehensive understanding of the desktop environment and asset management are crucial. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player, demonstrate leadership, and prioritize a customer-centric approach.

General Responsibilities:

  • Order and Receive Assets
  • Asset Delivery
  • Asset Disposal
  • Asset Life Cycle Reporting
  • Receive Orders in Lawson.
  • Register Assets in Coalesce
  • Place Assets in Inventory on Shelving Units
  • Deliver Assets to PC Techs and Desktop Consultants utilizing the department van.
  • Consolidate assets from PC Tech areas that are tagged for disposal into the cage area.
  • Keep the cage area clean and organized
  • Set up new desktop equipment for users, inclusive of mobile devices
  • With management supervision and approval, research, test, and implement new ways to streamline support for the corporate campus.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Special Qualifications:

  • Must have experience with Microsoft Windows, Office, mobile messaging device support
  • Excellent customer service attitude
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

  • 40 hours a week and onsite 5 days a week Monday - Friday
  • Good physical condition
  • Lifting 25 lbs.
  • Move pallets via a pallet jack
  • On-Site support
  • Must have a valid driver's license
