Janitor (days Shift, Full Time, $16/hr) CITC - Anchorage

Janitor Position

NANA Management Services (NMS) is seeking a dedicated and thorough Janitor to maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of Cook Inlet Tribal Council (CITC) facilities in Anchorage, Alaska. The successful candidate will ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for CITC employees, clients, and visitors, directly contributing to the positive experience of those utilizing CITC's vital community services.

Responsibilities

1. Clean, sweep, mop, vacuum, sanitize and/or restock hallways, stairways, offices, food preparation or break areas, offsite areas, restrooms, public areas, or other work areas as assigned.
2. Dust both low and high areas and wipe down or cleans various surfaces.
3. Remove and transport trash to appropriate disposal areas.
4. Use appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions for all tasks.
5. Maintain a clean and orderly cart and storage areas.
6. May assist in laundry and/or linen removal.
7. Replenish guest supplies and amenities as required.
8. May scrub, strip, extract, wax and buff all types of floors using appropriate equipment.
9. May change light bulbs and perform light facility maintenance.
10. Has ability to recognize and use proper PPE for the job task.
11. Adhere to all safety policies, requirements, and training.
12. Report any material discrepancies, damage and/or theft to the manager or maintenance department.
13. Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success may also be assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc.
• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Preferred Requirements

• A valid driver's license with a 3-year driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier.
• Preferred 6 months experience that demonstrates a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes.
