The Solutions Engineer will play a key role in building out our enterprise reseller platform with a focus on our sales motion and partner scaling. This role will act as the connective tissue between the name.com API, enterprise partners, and our GTM team to help enterprises implement and grow with our solutions. You will do everything from ABM prospecting to building demos and telling data-driven stories to building prototypes and coding against our APIs. You'll work closely with leadership, vendors, product and engineering, marketing, and our customers.
This role reports into the Director, Product Management.
Pre-sale expertise. Directly own the sourcing, forecasting, execution, and technical qualification of deals for our enterprise segment in partnership with leadership. Build and deliver customer-facing materials (decks, demos, prototypes)
Customer advocacy. Work with leadership and GTM teams to interpret customer requirements and deliver integrated solutions that will drive end-customer success
Partner relationship management and success. Develop and maintain relationships with key strategic partners; build trust through your deep technical expertise of their platforms and customer needs
Technical leadership. Be a technical expert on the name.com API capabilities and partner with GTM teams to recommend technical solutions and deploy or advance successful customer integrations. Maintain subject matter domain technology, AI, and API trends. Field and resolve technical inquiries from partners, including, but not limited to, engineering, product, finance, and marketing teams
Product development. Advocate for API improvements with internal product and engineering teams to benefit end-customers; highlight issues, trends, and opportunities for integration enhancements
Industry thought leadership. Evangelize the name.com API through virtual and in-person events
Actively models and promotes Identity Digital and name.com's core values through day-to-day interactions, behaviors, and decision-making.

3+ years of engineering experience, pre-sale or technical consulting experience preferred
B.A. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Strong sense of customer advocacy and ownership
A skilled communicator able to tailor messaging based on target audience and medium
Experience in one or more of the following: technical writing/documentation, training development and delivery, product (engineering, marketing, or management)
Self-directed and able to operate with low supervision in highly dynamic environments
Able to build and maintain relationships across the organization and externally
Able to drive consensus in complex cross-functional groups
Comfortable in operating with ambiguity and being proactive in finding solutions
Familiarity with development and API technologies, such as JavaScript and REST
Enthusiastic, can-do attitude, enjoys working with customers, solving their problems, and innovating in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel up to 10% of time
Ability to work across time zones as part of a global organization as needed
Reliable transportation to the workplace
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $103,000 - $134,000 plus benefits as described below. In addition, the successful candidate will be eligible to receive other compensation from time to time in the form of discretionary and/or nondiscretionary bonuses and long-term incentive plan. Actual compensation will be influenced by a candidate's qualifications, internal employee equity considerations, and location. We will not ask for information about a candidate's current or past compensation for purposes of developing an offer of employment.
US team members (and their spouses, domestic partners, and/or dependent children) are covered by generously subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance which includes company contributions to a Health Savings Accounts. Team members are also covered by company-paid life and disability insurance and have the option of participating in employee-paid supplemental life, accidental death and dismemberment, critical illness, and accident insurance. In addition, team members can enroll in the company's 401(k) plan with up to a 5% match. You receive 15 days of paid vacation yearly, increasing to 20 days after one year. Additionally, you get 5 days of paid sick leave, 13 paid holidays, and 20 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents, 12 weeks for others. Also, there's an opportunity for tuition reimbursement for qualifying expenses.
