- The Senior Backend Engineer will enhance digital payment systems and infrastructure for the African continent.

- The engineer will contribute to customer-facing REST API functionalities and automate processes to improve customer satisfaction.

- The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in building reliable and scalable backend services, particularly using Go.
- A strong understanding of RDBMS technologies, such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, is essential for this role.
- Experience with message-broker technologies like Kafka or RabbitMQ is important, especially in event-driven architectures.
- The candidate should be comfortable working asynchronously with global teams and using modern communication tools.
- A passion for fintech and a commitment to the mission of increasing economic opportunities for Africans globally is crucial.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required to effectively communicate within the team and with stakeholders.
