The Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician at our OSHA Star Facility plays a pivotal role in maintaining safety and efficiency in our combined cycle power plant. This position involves completing daily tasks, operating and maintaining equipment, and conducting outage-related maintenance to ensure cost-effective facility operations. O&M Technicians adhere to state and federal safety and environmental regulations, contributing to a sustainable energy future.

Additionally, employees are required to adhere to all safety warnings and posted safety signs whenever on company property. Furthermore, employees must follow all NAES safety rules and procedures. Effectiveness in carrying out this responsibility is part of the evaluation of each employee's performance.
The O&M Technician reports directly to the Control Room Operator and Operations & Maintenance Manager.
Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, stair and ladder climbing; and routinely lifting up to 50 pounds. Protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties (e.g., hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, chemical suits, hot gloves and high voltage protective equipment, etc.). Work with hazardous materials may be required. There are extensive smoking restrictions in and around the facility.
All employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. This program includes a post-offer physical examination and drug screening and post-employment random drug screening.
This position entails a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, which includes extended working hours and variable shifts, including weekends and holidays, as necessary to meet schedule demands and respond to plant conditions. Periodic "on-call" status may also be required.
The initial hourly rate of pay will range from $47.00 - $55.00, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience.
