Data Engineer

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes in Databricks and cloud-based data platforms.

Lead lift & shift initiatives, migrating existing Pentaho ETL jobs, on-premise data pipelines, and reporting workflows to cloud-native architectures.

Build and optimize Medallion layer in a Delta Lake / Lakehouse architecture for marketing and customer analytics data.

Automate data quality, validation, and monitoring for all pipelines, ensuring reliability and performance at scale.

Participate in solution architecture discussions, providing input on technology selection, performance, and resource optimization.

Opportunity to mentor junior engineers and shape data engineering best practices.

6+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in marketing or customer analytics contexts.

Strong expertise in ETL/ELT processes and data migration strategies.

Hands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark, Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Experience with legacy ETL tools like Pentaho, Informatica, or SSIS & Airflow, dbt, or other orchestration frameworks is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and big data architectures.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Ideally experience in the User Tracking and analytics in e-commerce environment.

Experience with Power BI, Looker, or other BI/reporting tools.

Excellent communication skills and confidence in working with cross-functional teams and collaboration with data scientists, analysts.
