GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The Terminal Operations Assistant will be responsible for overseeing the safe unloading of barges, assist Terminal Operators if necessary, and respond to any spills or other emergencies at the facility. The Terminal Operations Assistant will watch for spills, fires, and other hazards and communicate in an emergency and respond to the emergency as required by regulation or as directed by terminal personnel.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
