Senior Sales Manager

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Senior Sales Manager. In this role, you will solicit, develop, and maintain accounts in assigned market segments through direct sales efforts, while ensuring that budgeted financial results are achieved and exceeded.

You'll be joining a talented, high-performing team that believes collaboration and culture drive results. The Senior Sales Manager will inherit a strong, established book of business and be supported by a dynamic network of hospitality professionals. From there, success depends on your ability to build upon that foundation—expanding relationships, finding new opportunities, and growing revenue.

This position is ideal for a hunter, not a gatherer—someone who thrives on prospecting, strategic selling, and uncovering new business in key markets such as Lehigh Valley, Northern New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to maximize group bookings and revenue.
  • Own and manage an assigned territory and/or verticals with measurable performance goals.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a results-oriented sales team.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry partners.
  • Collaborate with conference services and catering teams to ensure seamless event execution.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of hotel sales experience at a 500+ room hotel or a hotel attached to a convention center with 80,000+ sq. ft. of meeting space.
  • Proven ability to develop, negotiate, and close high-value group business.
  • Deep understanding and experience with closing sales in the surrounding region's markets including, but not limited to Connecticut, North Jersey, New York, Lehigh Valley, and Harrisburg.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating a sales team.
  • Hunter mindset with a strong drive toward creating new leads and uncovering untapped opportunities.
  • Proficiency in modern prospecting techniques and sales technology platforms.
  • Deep understanding of the meetings and conventions market in Pennsylvania.
  • Ability to think independently, problem-solve, and deliver creative solutions to meet client needs.
