Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Banquet Captain. In this role, you will be a key contributor in creating unforgettable memories for our Convention Groups! You'll supervise a small team to ensure Banquet Event Orders (BEOSs) are accurately completed, including the set-up, service, and break down of the event. Guide and train staff members on how to coordinate service meals, breaks, and go beyond expectations to handle any guest relations. Be a part of a dynamic team whose job is to amaze guests through smooth event organization and planning!

Starting Rate: $6.35 an hour + gratuity pool tips!

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect the setup of meeting and banquet functions, checking them against the banquet event orders (BEO's).
• Supervise and assist with the setup of assigned catered functions, ensuring that the hotel's standards are met, and advance preparation for service is adequate to allow efficient service to the guest once the function begins.
• Supervisor service of station or banquet room.
• Coordinate banquet service needs with food production.
• Maintain the highest quality of service related to all banquet and meetings service.

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience as a server and set-up
• 1 year supervisory or management experience in food service or hospitality industry in a convention center is preferred.
• Banquet & Event Certification / Diploma preferred but not required
