MUFG, a globally respected financial institution, is seeking a Trade and Transaction Reporting Analyst to join their Operations Regulatory Reporting team in London. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor daily transaction reporting flows across various regulatory regimes such as MiFID, EMIR, SFTR, CFTC, SBSD, CSA, and HKMA to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Supervise front office activities by maintaining oversight of onboarding processes for SFTR and ensuring efficient operational flows.
  • Resolve rejections and failures promptly by raising change requests for system reconciliations between source systems and trade repositories or approved reporting mechanisms.
  • Support the resolution of complex regulatory issues by collaborating with internal stakeholders including Legal, Compliance, Technology, Project Management, Audit, Risk, and Regulatory Assurance teams.
  • Produce comprehensive management information reports and dashboard summaries to inform senior management decision-making.
  • Maintain detailed issue logs while proactively reporting potential regulatory breaches to ensure transparency and compliance.
  • Oversee outsourced tasks to guarantee adherence to service level agreements and regulatory standards.
  • Perform control functions diligently to minimize operational risk while supporting the supply of management information for formal committees.
  • Contribute to system testing initiatives and process improvement projects aimed at enhancing efficiency within the Trade and Transaction Reporting function.

What You Bring:

  • Experience in operations within financial services with exposure to multiple asset classes such as rates, foreign exchange, credit products, bonds, exchange-traded derivatives, or equities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of reconciliation processes coupled with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other core Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing when preparing management documents or technical summaries for diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with operations systems relevant to trade reporting (such as Murex) alongside practical knowledge of trade and transaction reporting requirements under various regulatory regimes.
  • Proven track record of effective stakeholder engagement across legal, compliance, technology, project management, audit, risk management or regulatory assurance functions.
  • Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solving within complex operational environments involving large data sets or intricate workflows.
  • Experience documenting policies or procedures related to trade reporting while ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to manage large workloads under tight deadlines without compromising accuracy or quality.
  • Calm demeanor under pressure with a structured approach that supports consistent delivery even during periods of high activity or change.
