We are looking for a talented, motivated and ambitious individual to join our Internship Programme in Paris starting as soon as possible. As part of the programme, you will have the opportunity to gain experience working in the Fixed Income Credit Sales Group in Paris.

Applicants will only be considered if you have:

  • Completed or are in your final year of studies at a leading university;
  • Completed at least one internship in a fixed income credit sales role with a global investment bank for at least 6 months;
  • Active AMF certification;
  • Fluent language skills in English, French and ideally one other European language.

MUFG Securities (Europe) N.V. is the EU-based investment banking entity of MUFG and operates in close partnership with MUFG Securities EMEA plc, the UK investment banking subsidiary of MUFG, and MUFG Bank Ltd. to provide financial intermediation between corporate and institutional clients in Europe.

The Fixed Income Credit Sales Group forms part of a wider department known as the Institutional Investor Sales group (ICG) which is responsible for developing and implementing MUFG Securities' Financial Institutions client strategy and driving the International Sales initiatives.

ICG works with sales and trading teams across product lines and regions to identify a target list of priority clients and to develop and implement detailed accounts plans for them. Relationship Managers work alongside salespeople in product areas to engage with clients, strengthen our relationships, and increase client profitability.

Our Business Areas

Our Securities business offers a comprehensive product suite to institutional investor clients around the world through five key business lines in the primary and secondary markets: Capital Markets, Credit, Rates, Equities, and Structured Products.

Our commercial banking arm is a leading corporate lending bank offering an intensive range of services from Project Finance & Syndicated Loans through to Transaction Banking & Asset Finance.

What To Expect

Our 6-months Internship Programme will help you to develop a sound understanding of our product lines, our clients and our business strategies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in the following daily activities:

  • Support the local, Paris-based Sales team in Primary and Secondary Credit market activities;
  • Programme pricing sheets and produce daily market updates;
  • Work with sales colleagues on KYC and related compliance documentation
  • Work on client databases;
  • Prepare reports, client pitch books and presentations;
  • Interact closely with the credit trading, sales and strategy group in London, New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

We are looking for talented, motivated and ambitious people who will be able to help drive our business forward. The successful candidate must have:

  • Completed or are in your final year of studies at a leading university and obtained a minimum 2:1 within the last 12 months, or be in line for a minimum 2:1 (or international equivalent);
  • Completed at least one internship in a fixed income credit sales role with a global investment bank for at least 6 months and have an active AMF certification;
  • A strong interest in financial markets and sound knowledge of economic and financial theories from a leading university;
  • Outstanding analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills;
  • High attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong levels of motivation and integrity;
  • Fluent language skills in English, French and ideally one other European language;
  • Programming skills in VBA, Python, Java, C++ preferred;
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Bloomberg.
