What you'll do:
As an Associate – Global Markets Sales, you will be immersed in a dynamic environment where your attention to detail and ability to nurture client relationships are paramount. Your day-to-day activities will involve executing trades with utmost care, providing timely market insights, preparing impactful marketing materials for sales initiatives, and supporting the expansion of the client base through thoughtful portfolio analysis. You will also collaborate extensively with colleagues across different regions, contributing to shared objectives while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Execute trades with precision and care, upholding high standards of accuracy while nurturing trust with clients throughout every transaction to ensure dependable service.
- Report duties on Hong Kong banking holidays when required to support trade execution for non-Hong Kong clients, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to communal goals.
- Monitor market windows closely and provide timely support on indications so that clients receive reliable information exactly when they need it most.
- Support the sales business by achieving assigned revenue targets as well as other non-financial KPIs under the One Global Markets framework through teamwork and shared objectives.
- Prepare marketing materials for the sales team to conduct effective business promotion that enhances client engagement and supports growth.
- Assist sales teams in maintaining and expanding the client base by conducting deep dives into client portfolios, identifying new opportunities for connection and growth through considerate analysis.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by managers or teammates with enthusiasm, showing willingness to support communal goals and foster an inclusive environment.
- Collaborate effectively with other Product Offices and Coverage teams across all regions, promoting inter-dependence and shared success through open communication.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant internal policies and authorities' regulations at all times to maintain trustworthiness and uphold industry standards.
What you bring:
- At least one year of experience in Banking or Global Markets roles where you have demonstrated reliability in executing trades cautiously and efficiently within a team setting.
- Existing relationships with Financial Institution clients are considered advantageous as they reflect your ability to nurture trust-based connections that benefit communal goals.
- A university degree or higher qualification which showcases your commitment to personal growth and learning within the financial industry.
- Professional knowledge of FICC (Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities), FX (Foreign Exchange) & Rates Derivative products is essential for understanding diverse client needs empathetically.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications enables you to prepare detailed reports and presentations that support clear team communication.
- Experience using Bloomberg (BBG) or RM systems demonstrates your ability to access market data efficiently for informed decision-making that benefits group outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills allow you to connect with clients empathetically while working harmoniously within diverse teams committed to shared success.
- Strong organizational abilities ensure you can manage multiple workflows simultaneously without compromising quality or compliance standards.
