Job Description

The Parts & Service Data Analyst supports dealership service operations by generating reports, troubleshooting system usage, and improving service processes. This role works closely with dealers, suppliers, and internal teams to enhance customer satisfaction, increase profitability, and drive service retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and debug ETL processes written in a combination of SQL and Python. Support dealers and field personnel with process improvements and KPI insights.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports.
  • Assist in training efforts for dealership staff and regional support, including performance metrics.
  • Validate and onboard new data elements from dealer systems.
  • Analyze large datasets and develop visualizations to communicate insights.
  • Use SQL to fulfill ad hoc data requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the client or MSXI Manager.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in SQL and Python required.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business analytics, computer science, IT, or related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in automotive service or dealership operations preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a data analytics role preferred.
  • Proficiency in working with large relational databases.
  • Strong technical writing and coding skills preferred.
  • Certified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC) preferred.
  • Familiarity with dealership service tools (e.g., electronic inspections, appointment schedulers, tablet-based write-ups).
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Occasional handling of paper documents and materials.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate may not have been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At MSXi, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $35-45/hourly based on current experience.
