Staff Engineer I

MSA is an international group of more than 5,000 employees with 250 employees on the Châtillon sur Chalaronne site which is a development and production site for firefighter helmets, police/military helmets and construction helmets. Since 1914, MSA's mission has been to protect workers and infrastructure around the world by offering its products and solutions in different industries, to police and armies and to fire and rescue services.

The Staff Engineer I develops simple technical solutions to meet the needs of new products development and modifications on existing products in accordance with the procedures in place and the expectations in safety, quality, deadlines and cost targets.

Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities:

• Creates innovative technical solutions for new products and modifications of existing products.
• Writes technical documents.
• Capitalizes on activities and know-how.
• Participates in continuous improvement programs within the R&D center.

Qualifications

Education:

• Master’s Engineering degree or other specialized Master’s (mechanics/materials)
• Fluent English

Experience required:

• SolidWorks knowledge
• Training of minimum 6 months in Mechanical or Material engineering

Experience preferred:

• Company apprenticeship
